Story of Ayurvedic Charcoal Tooth Powder

So this has been pending for long. I have been getting a lot of requests for a Charcoal-based herbal tooth powder that is easy on the tongue and lips. And here it is!!

Natural Charcoal-based tooth powder has many advantages over chemical-based toothpaste — shinier white teeth and stronger gums!

In Kerala, we have this traditional tooth powder called ‘Umikkari’. ‘Umi’ means rice husk and ‘Kari’ means Charcoal. So burned umi is mixed with salt, pepper, and cloves. Sometimes a few drops of lemon squeeze are also added. My herbal tooth powder is made the same way. I have also added some herbs that strengthen the gums. I liked it when I used it — hope you will like it too. Let me know what you think.

The benefits are these:

Whiter & shinier teeth:

Powdered Charcoal can remove even the hardest stains on teeth. People who use Charcoal for brushing every day can even get rid of cigarette stains that have built up over the years.

Healthier gums:

I have handpicked herbs for healthier gums in my tooth powder. Regular use can prevent dental problems like gum bleeding.

Easy on lips and tongue:

Being a natural product, the tooth powder won’t sting your tongue or lips. The freshness comes from natural ingredients, not chemicals.

How to use:

Brush vs. finger:

You can either use a toothbrush or your index finger to brush your teeth. There are advantages to both methods.

A soft toothbrush can reach difficult areas between the teeth, but it won’t do much for the gums.

Meanwhile, using your finger can massage the gums while brushing. Regular gum massage helps us hold on to our teeth longer 😅 — especially when you guys reach my age 😅😄.

It’s better to use a combination, at least a couple of times a week.

Morning or night:

Both times are fine. I use it in the morning. Brushing your teeth before bed is a must — I use a regular light toothpaste for that.

Nothing else is coming to my mind right now. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
